Whom do we serve?
General legal information or summary advice is available to all.
Advocacy, advice, and representation are available to those who do not qualify for a Legal Aid certificate and who are not able to afford the services of a lawyer.
All services are free to those who meet financial eligibility guidelines.

What do we do?
Our services cover areas not eligible for a Legal Aid certificate and include:
- Administrative law (i.e. Ontario Works, Employment Insurance, CPP, Ontario Disability Support Program, Workplace Safety and Insurance)
- Tenant Protection
- Human Rights
- Consumer Problems
- Small Claims Court (Seniors and Disabled only)
- Criminal Injuries Compensation

Additional Services
As well as representing individuals in need, the Clinic also acts in the following areas:
- Community legal education (i.e. presentations, seminars, brochures)
- Public relations/community outreach
- Lobbying and advocacy for legal and policy reform
- Assistance in issue-oriented litigation

The Advice Lawyer
Confidential summary advice provided by lawyers from private practice is available on Wednesday evenings 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Summary advice is available for areas of law covered by Legal Aid such as: Family, Criminal and Immigration.
